JUDGE FELIX ANNOUNCES ENTRY INTO
HAMILTON COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT RACE
Noblesville, Ind. -- Carmel City Court Judge Paul Felix announced today his candidacy for Hamilton County Circuit Court in this year’s Republican primary election. “I want to serve the citizens of Hamilton County. I believe my experience in applying the law fairly, administering the court efficiently, and leading by example in this community positions me as the most qualified candidate for Circuit Court Judge,” said Felix.
“The Circuit Court needs an experienced judge who has demonstrated the ability to learn law quickly, understands how to apply it, and exercises the discretion fairly,” said Felix. “Furthermore, the delivery of swift and fair justice demands a judge who can cooperate with the parties and the system in the administration of cases. I have shown the ability to open doors, communicate effectively, and build bridges with all aspects of the criminal justice system.”
Felix established early in his tenure as judge that he is an effective court administrator. In Felix’s first year on the bench, the court realized a 10% increase in case filings. Felix championed restructuring the court’s schedule and other changes which allowed the court to easily accommodate the increased caseload. Additional improvements Felix supported included increasing office hours to better serve the public, and implementing innovative ways to use technology to help people resolve their cases.
“These changes were important because they improved efficiency of the court and allowed us to handle a greatly increased caseload,” said Felix. “The administration of a court is one of the hardest parts of serving as a judge. My experience in saving taxpayer dollars and improving customer service will allow for an easy transition from one bench to the other.”
Felix has been serving as Carmel City Court Judge since 2006, upon being appointed to the bench by Governor Mitch Daniels. “Serving in this role has been extremely rewarding. I would like the opportunity to serve the entire county. My skills, qualities, and leadership experience position me well to fulfill the expectations of Hamilton County Circuit Court Judge,” Felix said.
